Job Summary
The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial reporting, TAX, auditing, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role is crucial for maintaining financial health and supporting the successful execution of construction and transmission line projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and manage the company budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper accounting practices.
Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and TAX reporting.
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial plans.
Monitor and manage the company cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
Implement and maintain SAP or QuickBooks financial management software and tools.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure financial alignment with project goals.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the construction or energy sector.
Proven track record of managing financial operations and supporting large-scale projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in financial management software (QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Other Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
