Job Summary
• Create visually appealing and informative graphics, illustrations, and visual elements for news stories, reports, and digital content.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Create visually appealing and informative graphics, illustrations, and visual elements for news stories, reports, and digital content.

• Collaborate with editors, producers, and reporters to understand content requirements and translate them into effective visual designs.

• Design and layout infographics, charts, maps, and other visual assets to support news stories and enhance viewer understanding.

• Ensure all visual content adheres to brand guidelines, editorial standards, and legal requirements.

• Stay updated with current design trends, techniques, and software to continually improve the quality and impact of visual storytelling.

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.

• Create and deliver motion graphics in various media including web, mobile, etc.

• Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics

• Assist in selecting audio, video, colours, animation, etc. for graphic design

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest graphic design techniques

• Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines and design standards

Job Requirements
• High School diploma or bachelor degree in graphic design or related field is preferred.

• 2-3 years proven work experience as a Graphic Designer is a must.

• Must be proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Dreamweaver and Flash & Photo Art Direction software packages.

• Ability to read, write and speak English, Dari and Pashto

• Ability to manage workload and see things through to completion

• Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Attention to detail and ability to translate complex information into visually engaging designs.
