It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for more than 23 years, providing emergency relief and implementing life-changing development projects for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. Islamic Relief set up our first Afghanistan office in 1999. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.

Job Summary

Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Provincial Manager, the incumbent undertakes the following duties:

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure field offices are following IR financial guidelines, specific templates etc.

Review and verify the vendor payment documents, Salary advance, staff cash advance and prior to their payments according to the IR Compliance.

Preparation of proper cash-flow requests for field offices after reviewing their advance requests.

Prepare monthly finance documentation of field office, review it and get it approved by relevant Project in-charge and then submit to CO.

Responsible for bank transfers like supplier payments, field office advance etc.

Responsible for creating vouchers for bank payments, field office vouchers into AX system.

Doing the cash and bank reconciliation for the relevant field.

Preparation and management of the provincial budgets.

Responsible for doing the cross charge as per the IRWA policy.

Conduct the orientation training of Finance to the new joiners.

Responsible for maintaining the proper filling of Financial Data according to IRA policy.

Responsible for daily cash count to the relevant field office.

Responsible for Support project staff in financial matters.

Any other tasks assigned by the line manager or to undertake any other reasonable duties deemed consistent with the job and at its level of responsibility as and when required by the line manager.




Job Requirements

Qualification:

Bachelor Degree in finance/ACCA qualified

Experience:

At least 3-4 years experience with similar experience with INGO/NGO

Language Requirement:

Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English is required.

Computer Skills:

Good working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems familiarity
